Sophie is a writer, Director, and performer with a passion for crafting wild and magical dark comedies that center unruly women and girls.

Her new horror-comedy play about a bachelorette trip gone wrong, one dick for life , had a public reading at the Neo-Futurist Theatre in April, 2024. In 2023 her musical, Hey, Girly! A Multi-Level-Marketing-Musical, was workshopped at The Annoyance Theatre.

As a filmmaker, she recently starred as Bigfoot in The Cryptid Tapes, the mockumentary short film she wrote and produced with Laundry Day Productions. In February, Sophie directed the social horror-comedy POLYCULE, written by Cal Bolster and Amita Rao.

Other favorite projects include her MFA thesis feature script, the Hollywood satire Total Sweetheart, and her hour-long pilot about a true crime podcasting duo, Murder Girls, which has appeared on the Coverfly Red List.

As a comedian Sophie has trained and performed at iO and The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory.

In 2023 Sophie graduated with an MFA from Northwestern’s Writing for the Screen and Stage program, where she also taught screenwriting in the department of radio, television, and film. She holds a BA in English, Gender, Sexuality, & Women’s Studies, and yes, Theatre, from Bowdoin College.

She is a proud double-Sagittarius sun / rising, Taurus moon.
